Functional Abdominal and Lower-Back Training explains and demonstrates three different exercise progressions for increasing the level of muscular strength and endurance in the torso muscles. A progressive, functional exercise continuum for the abdominal, lower-back, and stabilizer muscles is reviewed in detail. The DVD is designed to help bridge the information gap between past and present trends in abdominal/lower-back training. The progressive functional continuum presented in the DVD is applicable for both group-exercise instructors, personal trainers, and program directors. Among the topics covered: the concept of neutral spine, six levels of training progression, abdominal muscles as prime movers, torso muscles as stabilizers, and erector spinae muscles as prime movers.
