Nutrition for the Long Run
Nutrition for the Long Run provides an overview of the key factors involved in sound nutrition for both beginner and elite marathon training. The DVD addresses the basic nutritional bases attendant to marathon training, including macronutrient, micronutrient, and fluid needs for pre-event fueling, during-event fueling, and post-event recovery. The DVD also reviews non-traditional sources of fuel and how to store fuel along the 26.2-mile journey. Among the topics covered: carbohydrates, fat, protein, fluids, micronutrients, before the workout, during the workout, after the workout, and race day nutrition. Produced in cooperation with the IDEA Health & Fitness Association.
